Cow Car Water - Ara Damansara

Sonner or later the name "Cow car water" will be very familiar to you. But what exactly is this? A cow? A car? Or a car with a pool where the cow is swimming inside?

Ok ok enough. Cow car water is actually a newly established center of attraction. The idea is exactly same as the cow car water in Singapore, which transformed a block of shoplots into a shopping-complex-like street. (Refer to Petaling Street).

Went there yesterday with my mum, nothing much to shop there as there are still a lot of empty shoplots to be rented. If you are planning to go there, it's best to go there at night as the man-made sakura there will grow, making the atmosphere very nice.

Too bad I do not own a camera, and my handphone is sent for repair purpose. Else I would have posted a lot more pictures about there. If you or your family are planing to buy some potted plants or decorations, it's a must go place as a lot of them are selling these along the main street. For more info you all can visit Ara Damansara website.

Trip to Langkawi

Finally here is the long awaited update. I have to apologize as I was really busy till I don't even get the chance to touch my computer. Anyway, here is the post on my trip to Langkawi. Though I did not really enjoy it, however, sharing the happiness moment with friends still leaving me an unforgetable memory.

Langkawi, is an island located in the state of Kedah. This beautiful island is famous for its foods, and not to forget, it is also the paradise for alcoholics and chocolate lovers. (I bought a lot of chocolate!)

My friends and I went there by airbus, which is not recommended if you plan to save money to shop there. A more economic choice is by bus, costing you Rm35 & allowing you to "enjoy" 8 hours of sleep. (This is how we got back to KL). Upon arrival, five of us: wei hoe, kenneth, wong hon, yung yee and me, rented a motorcar for RM250, term is until the day we leave. Then we started to explore this little island.

Foods over here! Must try!
I have to admit that the foods here are toothsome! In particular the sotong goreng! No doubt the prices here would higher than normal. An average meal for 5 persons would cost you around RM70 over here. Do order the BBQ at the beachside if you happened to be there for dinner.

WILL CONTINUE UPDATE AND POST PICTURES SOON!

The Year of 2008

When you are getting elder and elder, time seem to fly faster and faster. Without notice, the year 2008 has come. Look back in the past one year, have u acheived your mission which was set earlier or anything that you are satisfy with? As for me, definitely NOT! Haha... However, 2008 has come, which also means that I'm stepping into my adulthood. So what I gonna do in this year are:

1) Build a better networking with my friends (I admit I've been a lazy guy in the past one year)
2) Quit gaming (This is my aim since form5 lol)
3) Study hard in order to obtain a scholarship to further my studies in Australia
4) Be alert to the news in stock market and pay more attention in analyzing the market
5) Lastly, UPDATE MY BLOG more frequent! hehe...

I've set my missions. What about u? :) Happy new year!

Happening Weekend!

I was place at sungai wang plaza to promote camera last week. My booth was being set up right opposite the stage, at concourse. In these 3 days time, I've watched a lot (really a lot) of shows & events going on stage. I would say that I was paid to watch the show, as the booth's position was not strategic at all. While there is a show going on, the crowd would eventually gathered infront of the stage, thus blocking all the potential customers. As for last week my total sales in 3 days were 2 units. (which is the worst in my sales life) :) Anyway, here are some eye catching events happened:

Power Ranger Mystic Force

Beginning last week, power rangers mystic force would go on stage to have a snap with the kids every 1, 4, and 7pm. There would be a live show on beating monsters as well. The shows are all the same and I've watched it over and over again for 3 days. Being a camera promoter, of course, I would not miss the chance to capture some pictures with the power rangers. (I heard that all these rangers are paid Rm300/day) Wow...

The power rangers mystic force!

Prize Giving Ceremomy

In the past one month shoppers were open to participate in this attractive event organised by Sungai Wang Plaza; Anyone who spends more than RM30 in sungai wang plaza shall entitle one entry in the lucky draw held later. Grand prizes like one Nissan Latio (what the heck?), Osim massage chairs, massage belts, handphones were given out like nobody's business. One thing which i find very weird was, Why would people participated yet they do not appear themselves on the prizes drawing day? This is what happened. While the winner of the biggest and most attractive prize (the car of course) are called, it was belong to a girl, who is 18 this year, spent Rm70 in the 6th floor. Her name was being called many times and yet nobody goes up to claim it. Obviously she DID NOT attend the ceremony. I believe if i were the girl i would jump down from KL tower.

As a result the winner has to be re-drawn and the car was won by a guy who spent EXACTLY rm30 in sungai wang plaza. Lucky fella!

Photos to be posted later...

Third PC Fair of the year

As usual, the pc fair this time was held at kl convetion center. I was positioned in Hall 2 selling cameras. On the second day, I was able to walk around visiting the different booths in the morning. This time those famous brands' booths in the main hall were really surprised me. Compare to previous one, this time all the booths (Sony, Canon, Toshiba, Epson) were all well designed. Picture speaks more than words.

Due to time constraint, I only able to capture few booths. The PC fair this time, it was rather boring because there were not many computer accessories sold. Maxis broadband people are what you could see, inviting you to subscribe their broadband. I heard that they had 14 booths in this fair. Can you imagine one booth with 20 people? Even my booth was blocked by these people. (They really blocked the traffic very much) O ya the digi yellow man did come on the second day, because digi's CEO was there on the 1st day and was damn unhappy seeing all the green color shirts people. To fight back, there was an order to all digi staffs "Wear our digi t shirt and come to pc fair walk around. You are paid rm170/day and whatever expenses are claimable!" Wow that was so g@y! (One of my friend is working for digi, and he told me about that.)

While for the girls, I'm quite happy that I had the pleasure to become the photographer for Toshiba show girls. (In fact one of them is my friend. hehe). Here are the pics! Don't ask me for the names & numbers! I don't know! lol...

happy moment :)

BursaPursuit

Aww finally I got the mood to start posting again. Reason behind this is because I'm just too lazy (In facts games are the things that I do when i sit infront of my comp). Anyway, recently Bursa Malaysia has organised a visualize share competition which is Bursapursuit. This pursuit follows tthe real time share market while money is based on visualisation. I've participated in it, hoping to gain some experience in share market. This game (I will call it as a game) begins on 1st of October and ends on 30th November. It's a 2 months challenge. Whoever got the most capital gain at the end of the period will get the grand prize, which is 100k! Wow! Can't imagine where should I spend this 100k! lol... So anyone of u who are interested to join can go register. It's FREE! Recently bursa malaysia has been advertising in FMs, and also doing so many things, really make me wonder what is the reason behind... hmm! Lastly, not forget to mention, the bursapursuit website is really a cacat-ed website.

1st day in Phuket

Woke up 5am early in the morning, we headed north from Cameron Highland until the Malaysia's border, which is Changlun. Our plan was, drive from Cameron to Changlun, then swtich to plane which flies directly to our destination from Hatyai International Airport. We booked 2 vans to take us from there to Thailand. All together we have 23 people (65% are kids) Our plane departs at 1515, so we had a lot of time touring around the city in Thailand but we didnt. Just happened to go to a very famous (hmm...) chicken rice shop to have our lunch. Airport is where we go after the delicious and yet cheap chicken rice. Seriously, this is a day which makes me damn bored! Arrived at the airport at about 11 something and waited till the departure time. A minute for me was like four seasons. This is my fourth time flying. I got so excited while waiting in the room, serious! And i worried that the plane would being attacked by terriorist somemore -.-"

My sister and me, while waiting for the departure...

view from the window...

Upon arrival, it was about 4pm. Everyone gets so tired. We checked in the apartment and prepared to go for our dinner. The apartment is owned by my brother inlaw's younger brother, so the renting fees is waived =D It is a 4 stars apartment. Normally a night here would cost you about RM350-400.

the view of the apartment

After we have taken our bath, my brother inlaw's brother (from now on i will call him as my uncle inlaw) assigned 2 vans and sent us to a kampung place to have our dinner. To be frank, if any of you think that you've tried the local flavor at Thai's restaurant, think again! None of the foreingner would know the existing of such a place unless you are a local. What can I say about the foods here? Hell and heaven! The spicy taste makes you yell like hell, on the other hand, the "syok-ness" would make you feel like heaven!

here is where we dine in

The appetizer was fruits with some unknown leaves. WHy do i say so? Those leaves are seen by us everywhere in Malaysia but in Thai they actually put it as a dish on the table!! I dare not to try it, however. Hehe... But according to one of the uncle, the taste was sweet and a bit sour. The 1st dish also fry leaves. ALso some uknown leaves! Damn stupid... but seriously the taste was fine. =) The rest of the dishes made everyone of us yelled SOS! Everybody's shirts got so wet because of the spicy tastes of the foods here! KFC hot and spicy? Try this and you will totally change ur mind.

the appetizer, which is fruits and some unknown leaves...

1st dish ---> "daun goreng"

The tomyam here which makes people feel like hell and heaven

after I've finished the soup... (Look what's left in the bowl)

steam fish with self-recipe sauce

Smoked saulted fish, never eat the skin of the fish!

meat is fresh and juicy! (look we all ignored the skin)

People who don't know about this salt smoked fish would have thought that the chief add too much salt mistakently. My uncle inlaw was a victim too! For the 1st time. So if any of you happen to try this, you will know what to do haha...

That's all for my 1st day in Phuket. There are still a lot of intertesting activities awaiting me. Stay tune and i will upload more and more gorgeous pictures! Wonder how I'm able to update my blog? Haha there's just a cyber cafe opposite my apartment, the charge is Rm6/hour. If possible I will update my blog every night. =)
