Malacca Trip

Went to Malacca with my ex college friends last week. They are all from TARC and I haven't been seeing them for one year plus since I left tarc. Thanks to fate that I met Phoebe while I was working @ Jusco Bukit Tinggi and I got informed about this, and that is how this journey started.

Upon arriving at Malacca, the first thing that we did was... What else? Chicken rice ball! That's one of the famous local flavours in Malacca. For those of you who are going there, this special chicken rice ball is definitely a MUST try.

After that, we went to have a walk at the famous street of Malacca, The Jonker Street. There are a lot of souvenirs shops, as well as the Sir nama organizations along this street. Owning to the reason that Chinese new year is near, the whole street is decorated with red lanterns.

Not to forget, after your meal, do try out the Ice Kacang here. It has durian flavour and Coconut flavour. Especially when the fervent sun is shining high in the sky.

Cow Car Water - Ara Damansara

Sonner or later the name "Cow car water" will be very familiar to you. But what exactly is this? A cow? A car? Or a car with a pool where the cow is swimming inside?

Ok ok enough. Cow car water is actually a newly established center of attraction. The idea is exactly same as the cow car water in Singapore, which transformed a block of shoplots into a shopping-complex-like street. (Refer to Petaling Street).

Went there yesterday with my mum, nothing much to shop there as there are still a lot of empty shoplots to be rented. If you are planning to go there, it's best to go there at night as the man-made sakura there will grow, making the atmosphere very nice.

Too bad I do not own a camera, and my handphone is sent for repair purpose. Else I would have posted a lot more pictures about there. If you or your family are planing to buy some potted plants or decorations, it's a must go place as a lot of them are selling these along the main street. For more info you all can visit Ara Damansara website.

Trip to Langkawi

Finally here is the long awaited update. I have to apologize as I was really busy till I don't even get the chance to touch my computer. Anyway, here is the post on my trip to Langkawi. Though I did not really enjoy it, however, sharing the happiness moment with friends still leaving me an unforgetable memory.

Langkawi, is an island located in the state of Kedah. This beautiful island is famous for its foods, and not to forget, it is also the paradise for alcoholics and chocolate lovers. (I bought a lot of chocolate!)

My friends and I went there by airbus, which is not recommended if you plan to save money to shop there. A more economic choice is by bus, costing you Rm35 & allowing you to "enjoy" 8 hours of sleep. (This is how we got back to KL). Upon arrival, five of us: wei hoe, kenneth, wong hon, yung yee and me, rented a motorcar for RM250, term is until the day we leave. Then we started to explore this little island.

Foods over here! Must try!
I have to admit that the foods here are toothsome! In particular the sotong goreng! No doubt the prices here would higher than normal. An average meal for 5 persons would cost you around RM70 over here. Do order the BBQ at the beachside if you happened to be there for dinner.

WILL CONTINUE UPDATE AND POST PICTURES SOON!
